Exploring Val d’Orcia

During your staying in Val d’Orcia you’ll have lots of things to see and do. Here’s a short list of available stops.

Pienza

A marvellous example of Reinassance architecture, in 1996 Pienza became an Unesco Site. It is a town of stunning beauty, where time seems to have stood still. Getting lost in the alleys of Pienza, taking a picture at Belvedere, exploring old markets and wine shops is a true pleasure. Here you’ll be able to find and taste the famous Pecorino di Pienza (Pienza Sheep Cheese).

San Quirico d’Orcia

Another beautiful  Borgo in Val d’Orcia, San Quirico rises on a hill full of history. In the past centuries San Quirico was an important stop on the Via Francigena, the path used by pilgrims to reach the city of Rome from all over the Europe.

Montalcino

Montalcino is where the old Biondi Santi family created the most famous wine of the modern and contemporary age : the Brunello. Obviously Montalcino is not just wine : the historical center is dominated by the old Fortress, a Middle Age building that is perfectly preserved still today, and many other amazing monuments that you’ll be able to discover with our tour guide.
